The Tschuggen Hotel Group has a new Chief Development Officer.
Over the coming weeks, Leo Maissen will move from his position as General Manager of the Tschuggen Grand Hotel in Arosa to the newly created role in Zurich.
“New impulses and creative ideas are essential to the further development of our group and will allow us to remain at the top of the Swiss luxury hotel sector”, explains Mr Maissen. “In my new role, my many years of operative experience will ensure that guests in all the hotels of our group will continue to benefit from a perfect holiday experience.”
Leo Maissen has managed the five-star hotel in Arosa extremely successfully for eight years and, in August 2013 aged just 33, was named Hotelier of the Year by the Swiss business magazine Bilanz.
Mr Maissen will be succeeded by Stefan Noll, who will take over as executive host of the Tschuggen Grand Hotel. Mr Noll is currently Executive Assistant Manager of the Badrutt's Palace Hotel in St. Moritz.
From 1 September, the 40-year-old will manage the five-star hotel, well known as one of the pearls of the Alpine region with its exposed location at an altitude of over 1800 metres and the famous Tschuggen Bergoase designed by Mario Botta. Born in Germany, Stefan Noll has held various positions in international five-star hotels and, prior to his current position, was responsible for the entire pre-opening phase of the Hotel Chedi in Andermatt. Previously he was General Manager of the two Chedi hotels in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and the Chedi Club in Ubud on Bali. Earlier roles in his career were in luxury hotels such as The Legian in Bali, The Leela in Goa and the Mandarin-Oriental in London. Stefan Noll is married with a four-year-old son. He enjoys sporting activities in his free time.
